Communication has always been a key component of Martha’s life. After all, in addition to English, she’s fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. Being born in Cuba and living in Brazil for three years helped Martha develop a unique appreciation for the opportunities available in this country. Introduced to Roger as her “future husband” at just 15 years old, they soon became friends and decided to attend Vanderbilt University together. Martha obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Economic and Political Science, while continuing to learn about other cultures and the world around her. Fittingly, she's married to a prominent business owner with his own travel agency and she and Roger continue to share their fascination for faraway places. They take their entire family to different spots around the globe each year!
